As a leader in the industry, DYM Builders Group [ https://dym-builders.com/ ] stays ahead of these trends, offering insights and expertise to help homeowners bring their visions to life. 1. Sustainability Takes Center Stage Sustainability is no longer optional; it's a priority for builders and homeowners alike. Green construction practices are gaining momentum, with features like solar panels, energy-efficient windows, and recycled materials becoming standard. Eco-Friendly Materials: Builders are incorporating bamboo, reclaimed wood, and low-impact concrete to reduce the carbon footprint of construction. Net-Zero Homes: More homeowners are opting for net-zero homes that produce as much energy as they consume, utilizing solar energy and high-efficiency systems. Smart Waste Management: Construction companies are focusing on reducing waste by recycling building materials and adopting modular designs. 2. The Rise of Multifunctional Spaces Modern homes are designed with flexibility in mind. With more people working remotely, homeowners are demanding spaces that serve multiple purposes. Home Offices: Dedicated workspaces with soundproofing and ergonomic setups are in high demand. Convertible Rooms: Spaces that can transition from a home gym to a guest room or playroom offer maximum utility. Outdoor Living: Patios, decks, and outdoor kitchens are becoming integral to home design, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living. 3. Technology-Driven Homes Smart homes are no longer a luxury-they're an expectation. Technological innovations are transforming how we interact with our living spaces. Home Automation: Systems that control lighting, temperature, security, and appliances through a single interface are becoming standard. Health Monitoring: Air quality sensors, water purification systems, and even sleep-tracking beds are being integrated into home designs. Energy Management: Advanced systems that monitor and optimize energy usage help homeowners save money and reduce their environmental impact. 4. Minimalism with Character Minimalist design remains popular, but 2024-5 brings a twist: incorporating warmth and character into clean, simple spaces. Natural Textures: Wood, stone, and textiles add warmth and personality to minimalist interiors. Neutral Palettes: Shades of beige, gray, and white dominate, with pops of color through furniture and art. Custom Details: Personalized features like built-in shelves, unique light fixtures, and handcrafted furniture make spaces feel unique. 5. Wellness-Focused Design Homes are increasingly being designed with health and well-being in mind. This trend prioritizes comfort, relaxation, and connection to nature. Biophilic Design: Incorporating natural elements like indoor plants, water features, and large windows creates a calming environment. Spa-Like Bathrooms: Features like soaking tubs, rain showers, and heated floors transform bathrooms into personal retreats. Acoustic Comfort: Builders are focusing on soundproofing to create quiet, peaceful interiors. NonePITTSBURGH (AP) — The yard lines weren't the only things lost in the early winter squall that swept off Lake Erie and turned Huntington Bank Stadium into a snow globe on Thursday night. The “good vibes only" mindset that carried the Pittsburgh Steelers through two-plus months of solid if not always spectacular football disappeared in a 24-19 loss to last-place Cleveland . Over three eventful hours, all the ingredients of a classic “trap game” the Steelers (8-3) were hoping to avoid created a recipe with an all-too-familiar aftertaste of regret and missed opportunities,. A bit of immaturity from wide receiver George Pickens, who got into an MMA-style exchange with an opposing defensive back ... again. A pinch of frustration from normally stoic defensive tackle Cam Heyward, who vented afterward about being held on a decisive snap. An ounce — OK, several ounces — of confusion from a coaching staff that couldn't seem to decide whether to accept a late Browns penalty and then compounded it by taking a valuable timeout immediately afterward when the defense couldn't get lined up right. A dash of curious game planning, one that included inserting backup quarterback Justin Fields in high-leverage situations, most notably on third-and-6 with less than 5 minutes to go with the game still in the balance. The gambit that worked beautifully in an emotional victory over Baltimore last Sunday was a decidedly more mixed bag this time around. Add it all up and the result was Pittsburgh's fifth loss in its last seven trips to Cleveland, squandering a chance to move closer to its first AFC North title in four years. “We have a lot of football left,” quarterback Russell Wilson said. “We have a lot of opportunities to respond in the highest way, (the) highest level. I think everything that we want is still in front of us.” Yet a team that's been one of the league's bigger surprises failed to avoid a misstep and provided a reminder that for all the good things it has done of late, the Steelers remain a work in progress. “It is very deflating,” outside linebacker T.J. Watt said. "We need to close out games and we were not able to do that tonight. It sucks that we could not hold on, but a loss is a loss.” What's working Wilson's moonball. Even amid the snowflakes and quick deteriorating conditions, Wilson was unafraid to let the ball fly. Wilson averaged a healthy 12.9 yards per completion, including deep shots to Pickens, Van Jefferson and Calvin Austin III, the last a 23-yard flip to the end zone that Austin cradled to give the Steelers a late lead. If there's one thing that Wilson has shown during his first five starts, it's the situation — be it the score, the down, the time left on the clock or the weather — is immaterial. He will throw it where he wants when he wants, regardless of the circumstance. What needs help The final numbers for the offense — namely 368 yards and 35 minutes of possession — were good. The eye test, however, was another matter. The line had trouble protecting Wilson, giving up four sacks, and generating push when it mattered. Take out a 30-yard sprint by Fields and Pittsburgh averaged less than 3 yards per carry on the ground. The Steelers had the ball with under 5 minutes to go knowing two or three first downs would win in it. So middling runs and one ill-advised pass down the sideline by Fields later, Pittsburgh punted and momentum swung one last time. Stock up Outside linebacker Nick Herbig shows a more than passable T.J. Watt impression when healthy. Herbig's strip-sack of Jameis Winston midway through the fourth quarter set up Austin's go-ahead touchdown. Herbig now had 3 1/2 sacks and three forced fumbles despite missing four games with a hamstring injury. Stock down Pickens displays anger issues, particularly when things don't go his way. The third-year wideout had his third very public, strikingly violent outburst in two months when he got into it with Browns cornerback Greg Newsome III after a last-gasp Hail Mary fell incomplete. The NFL fined Pickens more than $10,000 after he grabbed Dallas defensive back Jourdan Lewis by the facemask at the end of a loss in October. Two weeks ago Pickens and Washington's Mike Sainristil exchanged punches following an interception. The volatile Pickens is by far Pittsburgh's best playmaker. Yet with the stakes likely raised in the coming weeks, he needs to keep his emotions in check if he wants to make sure he stays on the field. Injuries Pittsburgh could have starting outside linebacker Alex Highsmith (ankle) back when they visit Cincinnati on Dec. 1. Highsmith has missed the last two games and five overall this season. Key number 0-8 — head coach Mike Tomlin's career record on the road in Thursday night games against AFC North opponents. Next steps Rest up and prepare for a finishing stretch that starts with a visit to the underperforming but still dangerous Bengals. Pittsburgh swept the season series from Cincinnati last year. ___ AP NFL: https://apnews.com/hub/nfl Will Graves, The Associated Press

The iPhone maker said its investment in the UK in that time had risen to more than £18 billion. Apple’s investment in the UK over the last five years has now surpassed £18 billion, with the technology giant’s engineering teams in the country doubling in that time, the iPhone maker has said. The US tech giant said it now supported 550,000 jobs in the UK through direct employment, its supply chain and the economy around its App Store – with app developers having earned nearly £9 billion since it launched in 2008. Apple said its engineering teams were carrying out critical work on the firm’s biggest services, including key technology within Apple Intelligence, the iPhone maker’s suite of generative AI-powered tools which are expected to launch in the UK for the first time this week. Elsewhere, the firm said its growing TV empire, spearheaded by its Apple TV+ streaming service and production arm, had also helped boost its investment in the UK with Apple TV+ production in this country tripling in the last two years, the company said. Chief executive Tim Cook said: “We’ve been serving customers in the UK for more than 40 years, and we’re proud of our deep connection with communities across this country. “We’re thrilled to be growing our Apple teams here, and to keep supporting the extraordinary innovators, creators, and entrepreneurs who are pushing the boundaries of technology in so many ways.” The Chancellor Rachel Reeves said companies such as Apple were “intrinsic” to the UK’s prosperity by boosting jobs. “This government is laser focused on creating the right conditions for growth to help put more money in people’s pockets. “That’s what underpins the Plan for Change and is what has driven £63 billion worth of inward investment in the UK through our first international investment summit. “Companies like Apple are intrinsic to the success of our nation’s prosperity – helping deliver jobs, innovative technology, and boost infrastructure.”

Morgan Rogers looked to have given Emery’s side another famous win when he slammed a loose ball home in stoppage time, but referee Jesus Gil Manzano ruled Diego Carlos to have fouled Juve goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio and the goal was chalked off. Contact seemed minimal but VAR did not intervene and Villa had to settle for a point in a 0-0 draw. “With the last action, it is the interpretation of the referee,” the Spaniard said. “In England, 80 per cent of those is given a goal and it’s not a foul. It’s very soft. “But in Europe, it could be a foul. We have to accept. “Everybody will know, in England the interpretation is different. The England referees, when actions like that the interpretation is a clear no foul but in Europe that interpretation is different. “They have to be working to get the same decision when some action like that is coming. I don’t know exactly why but we knew before in the Premier League that it is different. A very controversial finish at Villa Park 😲 Morgan Rogers' late goal is ruled out for a foul on Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio and the match ends 0-0 ❌ 📺 @tntsports & @discoveryplusUK pic.twitter.com/MyYL5Vdy3r — Football on TNT Sports (@footballontnt) November 27, 2024 “In Europe for example we are not doing a block like in England and we are not doing in front of the goalkeeper in offensive corners the same situations like in England. “When the action happened, I was thinking here in Europe it’s a foul. In England not, but in Europe I have to accept it. “At first, I thought the referee gave us a goal. In cases like that, it’s confusing because he has to wait for VAR. I don’t know what happened but I think so (the referee changed his mind with VAR).” It was a disappointment for Villa, who remain unbeaten at home in their debut Champions League campaign and are still in contention to qualify automatically for the last 16. “We were playing a favourite to be in the top eight and usually a contender to win this competition,” Emery added. “We are a team who for a long time didn’t play in Europe and the Champions League and this year is very important. “We wanted to play competitive and we are in the right way. Today to get one point is very good, we wanted to win but wanted to avoid some mistakes we made in previous games. “We have 10 points and we’re happy.” Before the game Emery called Juventus one of the “best teams in the world, historically and now”, but this was an Italian side down to the bare bones. Only 14 outfield players made the trip from Turin, with striker Dusan Vlahovic among those who stayed behind. Juve boss Thiago Motta, whose side are 19th but still in contention to reach the top eight, said: “There’s just three games left to qualify. The next home against Man City, then Brugge, then Benfica. “One at a time, as we always did with the goal to qualify for the next round. “In the end we will try and reach our goal which is to go to the next round.”Bectran Partners with GIACT for ACH Fraud Prevention

Pat McAfee did not hold back when asked about his thoughts about the Indianapolis Colts after being eliminated from playoff contention. On X (formerly Twitter), the former Colts punter responded to a fan who wanted McAfee to talk about the Colts on his show Monday. “I’ve said what I believed to be the truth about the team.. & a bunch of ‘Colts fans’ on the internet were trying to get me booed out of the city.. Current players, who have won nothing during their entire tenures, started using me and my face to try and paint me as the enemy in the city I’ve committed my life to,” McAfee wrote. “And in the end... everything went.. just like I f***ing said it would In the biggest moments everybody with a brain knew they’d crack.. and they did.” McAfee went on to talk about Joe Flacco giving the Colts a better chance to win than Anthony Richardson . “When I said Joe Flacco gives us a better chance to win than AR immediately after the tap out.. I would’ve said whatever backup QB we had on the roster. That can’t be what the face of your team is doing.. just can’t be.. and to a bigger aspect of it all, somehow AR thought it was ok to do that. That’s a locker room issue.. that’s a culture issue.. thats an indicator of a loser attitude radiating thru a building that was built by greats.” Pat McAfee continues rant against Colts McAfee also said he’s not renewing his season tickets next year. “As a multiple year season ticket holder (not renewing).. and someone who has actively, daily, attempted to be an additive to this beautiful city. I hope they become a good franchise again.. this city deserves it.. the OGs in the Colts building deserve it (equipment managers, trainers, ticketing, PR, sales).. and on the flip side the players/coaches in that building deserve whatever happens to them. Your unwarranted arrogance, laziness, and lack of professionalism has lead you to ANOTHER early vacation... which is probably what most of you entitled bums have been hoping for.” On Sunday, the Colts lost to the New York Giants 45-33. Their record is now 7-9 on the year and will miss the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year. Richardson, who did not play on Sunday due to multiple injuries, has thrown eight touchdonwns and 12 interceptions with a 61.6 passer rating in 11 games. He is execpted to be the team’s starting QB in 2025. This article first appeared on 5 GOATs and was syndicated with permission.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — There's more than just school pride and bragging rights to all that bellyaching over who might be in and who might be out of college football 's first 12-team playoff. Try the more than $115 million that will be spread across the conferences at the end of the season, all depending on who gets in and which teams go the farthest. According to the College Football Playoff website , the 12 teams simply making the bracket earn their conferences $4 million each. Another $4 million goes to conferences whose teams get into the quarterfinals. Then, there's $6 million more for teams that make the semifinals and another $6 million for those who play for the title. Most of this bonanza comes courtesy of ESPN, which is forking over $1.3 billion a year to televise the new postseason. A lot of that money is already earmarked — more goes to the Big Ten and Southeastern Conference than the Big 12 or Atlantic Coast — but a lot is up for grabs in the 11 games that will play out between the opening round on Dec. 20 and the final on Jan. 20. In all, the teams that make the title game will bring $20 million to their conferences, all of which distribute that money, along with billions in TV revenue and other sources, in different ways. In fiscal 2022-23, the Big Ten, for instance, reported revenue of nearly $880 million and distributed about $60.5 million to most of its members. The massive stakes might help explain the unabashed lobbying coming from some corners of the football world, as the tension grows in advance of Sunday's final rankings, which will set the bracket. Earlier this week, Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark lit into the selection committee, which doesn't have a single team higher than 15 in the rankings. That does two things: It positions the Big 12 as a one-bid league, and also threatens to makes its champion — either Arizona State or Iowa State — the fifth-best among conference titlists that get automatic bids. Only the top four of those get byes, which could cost the Big 12 a spot in the quarterfinals — or $4 million. “The committee continues to show time and time again that they are paying attention to logos versus resumes,” Yormark said this week, while slamming the idea of teams with two losses in his conference being ranked worse than teams with three in the SEC. The ACC is also staring at a one-bid season with only No. 8 SMU inside the cut line of this week's projected bracket. Miami's loss last week all but bumped the Hurricanes out of the playoffs, a snub that ACC commissioner Jim Phillips said left him “incredibly shocked and disappointed." “As we look ahead to the final rankings, we hope the committee will reconsider and put a deserving Miami in the field," Phillips said in a statement. The lobbying and bickering filters down to the campuses that feel the impact. And, of course, to social media. One of the most entertaining episodes came earlier this week when athletic directors at Iowa State and SMU went back and forth about whose team was more deserving. There are a few stray millions that the selection committee cannot really influence, including a $3 million payment to conferences that make the playoff. In a reminder that all these kids are going to school, after all, the conferences get $300,000 per football team that meets academic requirements to participate in the postseason.
